5k road race to kick off homecoming weekend. All proceeds go to charity!
The Goldey-Beacom College Halloween 5k Costume Run and Fun Walk is a costumed road race that begins and ends on the GBC campus in Pike Creek, DE (just outside of Wilmington). This year, GBC Athletics is dedicating all proceeds to the fight against breast cancer in an attempt to #SpreadTheLove with 93.7 WSTW!
93.7 WSTW has used #SpreadTheLove to bring awareness to random (sometimes enormous!) acts of kindness. Now it's time for us to do our part and help fight against the long-time women's health foe, breast cancer. We all know someone who has suffered or is suffering from this terrible disease so come out, wear pink, and compete in honor of those who are fighting, have lost the fight, or have won their battle!
It costs $25 for the general public to participate and $10 for students. In addition, there is a 1-mile walk for those that are not runners and still want to participate and donate to the most admirable of causes. Put on your best Halloween costume and a pair of running shoes and show us what you've got!
